Inexpensive, last minute getaway
Just saw this on Today.
EASYCRUISE.com
accommodation is on a room only basis and each cabin has private shower, w.c. and is made up with linen and towels on arrival. Then you decide how much you want to spend either ashore or onboard in the bar, restaurant or shop and on fresh linen whenever you need it.
Prices start at around $20 a night!! {No food included nor airfair. to departure}
Maybe just what you wanted??
Hope this helps...

I think if you're an adventurous travler who thinks of a room as a place to shelter and sleep, and only that, I think it'd be great.
Unfortunately, I'm the more lazy traveler who likes comfort and a little luxury, so it's not up my alley. But I have great respect for the other kind of traveler who takes a route like this.

I looked up Holland - the base price is cheap $35 a night, don't remember how much in Euro. Add cleaning and towel change 8.50 euro, and while I tried to look up food prices, got Acrobat's virus warning. Clicked on "debug" and got kicked out of every program, including Fodor's.
I won't dare to open this 2nd time.
I think it's good for young people who want to see Europe for less.

Debi, thanks for passing this on!! My son has decided my idea for a "travel fund" for his Christmas gift is a good idea. I saw this and mentioned it to him and thinks it sounds affordable and fun.
When it says 70 pounds per person, is that for the entire cruise?? How do you find out what the food prices and drink prices are??
And if anyone has any other budget travel websites I would appreciate them as well.
I think I've created a monster traveler. His favorite tv show is TravelChannel.
