inexpensive hotel in downtown Seattle

I have tried Priceline and cannot find an inexpensive hotel in downtown Seattle. Can anyone help me with a suggestion(s)?

Thank you

Can you be a little more specific? When? What do you consider "inexpensive?" Summer in Seattle gets very busy and finding anything downtown that isn't a total dive for a reasonable price is nearly impossible.

How did you try Priceline? If you tried their classic "Name your own price" service and were rebuffed at a decent price, chances are the hotels are really full. Priceline usualy won't work if the hotels are full.

What are the going rates for hotels during your dates?

What price room are you looking for?

I cannot think of any hotels that I would call "inexpensive" in downtown Seattle. Have you considered places like the Sixth Avenue Inn or the Ramada?

Sixth Avenue Inn and the Ramada Inn both show rates for 2 person, 1 bed, for 1 night/tonight at $89.00.

These are both at the northern end of downtown Belltown-ish area.

i don't know if it's your style, but the ace hotel is very cool and fairly inexpensive. my husband and i stayed there a year or so ago, and we thought it was very stylish and in a great location - we walked everywhere - pike place, downtown, etc.

There are two hostels in downtown Seattle. The YHA hostel is located next to the Pike's Peak Market. Can't beat the location.

By the way...that was bidding on Priceline. I didn't know what I was getting until committed, but we loved the hotel.
