Alone somewhere on the AT in western NC with a spectacular sunset. No one around for MILES. It can only be described as nirvana, in it's purest. You are so right GT, the one that takes it all away.

Not being lucky in most things, I'm the most lucky in this:

I found my one place. It's on my deck in MI looking at the sun sizzle down into the lake. Right now the full moon shows as if it were day, the thousand distant scarlet, yellow, and orange trees anchored in the marsh above distance green wetlands with the swan families (doubled in number) taking flying lessons in the bright moonlight.

Every season is a different picture but it is my one place.

Sitting on a large outcropping of rocks anywhere in New England watching the Atlantic Ocean crash itself down below. Rain or shine - its great either way.

Bennie I would love to know where you prefer. That just sounds breathtaking. I'm going to New England next summer and I know I'd love to see this.

You've obviously been to the Grand Canyon so the next best thing is the tunnel view of Yosemite. Besides, there can't get too many more visitors there even if you go.

Artist's Point in Grand Marais, Minnesota. A rocky, windswept outcropping in Lake Superior best visited with a latte' from the Java Moose and a sketchbook.

Alaska--a feast for the eyes. But I'd like to hear more about that tin foil ball!
