ideas wanted: long weekend, 3 generations

I am trying to plan a trip for the end of October for my grandmother, mother, two sisters (21 and 25) and myself (29). We are scattered all over - Chicago, Vermont, New Jersey, and Florida. We have considered Florida but are concerned about weather, Vegas, but too far from most people for a long weekend, Martha's Vineyard but too difficult to get to. Have been to all major cities and are looking for something relaxing and a good bargain. Any ideas?

Consider Montreal and Quebec City...they offer a taste of Europe without the travel... perfect for all ages
