To all of Montreal
Hi!

I would like to say that i got the privlage of going to Montreal on Memorial Day weekend and would like to say what wonderful people you all are and what a clean place. Montreal makes my City New York a disgrace. I could not beleive how clean, how great the food was and how friendly. I hope to go back soon.

It is funny how things work.
I am from Montreal and when I visited New York City for the first time I had very similar feelings. However, since then I learned that in one short visit you won't get to know any place. What you see as a tourist in two or three days is not enough to form such strong opinion.
I love New York City and after many visits there (not only to Manhattan) I learned to appreciate my own city of Montreal even more.
So please give your own town a chance. You should be proud to live in this amazing place.

Thanks xoxo. I'm glad you enjoyed the food and the ambience of Montreal, my favorite city in North America. It's interesting that you find the city clean though, as friends from other Canadian cities find Montreal one of the less clean cities in the country. Meanwhile have fun in NYC, one of my favorites in the US, before your return visit to Montreal.

Okay let me rephrase my message. I love my city NYC I don't think anyone else would of made it through 9/11 like we did, but What I was applying to was I was amazed how Montreal and NYC are so simular but for some reason us as New Yorkers choose to litter and not take care of our city the way we should where as i found Montreal to be so clean such as the subway's and the streets. Littering in Montreal is like a crime (as a Canadian told me) where as it is normal for us. I love both City's but just wish we would take care of our's more.

I live in Montreal but I love to go down to NYC for vacations. Don't trash your city, IMO its the best in the US. Lots of culture, great restaurants and sights..... About your Subway, maybe you would consider it dirty compared to MTL, but keep in mind your subway is much more elaborate and larger than ours. Anyway, I think both cities are world class.

xO, I know what you mean.We live in NYC and travel to Montreal at least once a year. There is such a good energy in this city! The food is good, the people are nice.We were in Montreal a month after Sept 11th, and all the firemen and policemen wore little US flags,I cannot tell you how touched I was by that.
J'e vous aime beaucoup,Montreal
(did I fracture my French again?lol)
