I think this question is for GoT.....

I am trying to remember a name of a resort/bungalow place. I think Go Travel mentioned it maybe last August. I remember you talking with OO about Ion Village, Daniel Island...etc and it seems to me around that time you mentioned a great place to stay that was near Savannah or Charleston. I was on the website, but just cannot remember the place! I know it was upscale, maybe $500 on up a night and it it had two room villas or bungalow type rooms. Does any of this ring a bell with any of you Fodorites?

Thank you Scarlett for reminding me of that thread. I love it. It's so full of information--except it doesn't mention the place I'm looking for.

I think this place might be closer to Savannah-a relaxing "beach place" and I remember a hammock on the website. I'm going to drive myself crazy!

Just saw this so sorry it took me so long.

Are you thinking of The Woodlands Inn in Summerville? A five star five diamond property and got perfect 100s from Conde Nast Golf List a couple of years ago for food and service.

www.WoodlandsInn.com

Let me know if that isn't it. Don't think it is quite $500 per night.

Thank you so much for responding. No, that isn't the place. The place I'm thinking about was more of an upscale beach hotel. I don't even know if it was an actual hotel/resort, but more of 2 bedroom or larger villas. If you type in Ion village, that thread comes up where you are discussing places to purchase land with OO. I remember going on the website for Ion village, and that is what prompted my memory of this certain place. I want to say it was near Savannah, because when I go there, I'm meeting my husband on a weekend layover, and therefore, the hotel is free. I remember thinking I may just have to splurge on one of those trips to stay at this place. Does that help at all?
Don't go crazy searching for me. I always love reading your posts. You sound like a lot of fun!
Thanks

Hmmn.

Wild Dunes Resort? It is nice and they have two bedroom condos. The Inn at Wild Dunes has very cool Boardwalk Villas that are unique and not cheap.

Something in Hilton Head maybe?

My mind is drawing a blank. Any more clues? You have my curiousity piqued.

I am defeated! I've searched your posts like Scarlett suggested and also googled everything I can think of. Wild Dunes does look nice. I will think about that location. I just remember a hammock on the website with birds chirping and an upscale room like Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. If I ever find it, I will be sure to let you know. Thank you so much for responding. Now, I must go get on that treadmill. I've spent too much time sitting by this computer today. Thanks again!
