I am PACKING for France today!!!

Have to pack "with" my husband Th and each daughter on Friday, so I'm doing my part today! My first trip to France was 36 years ago...yikes! Despite the cost of the Euro, gas, airline probs, etc I know that this is the one time I have with all of us before sending DD to college and DD #2 to high school and know that memories are so much more important than anything else. I'm sure this will really spark the travel bug in them as it did me when I first went to Europe as a student.

So...I was up there with tears running down my face thinking of their baby days and getting pumped about the "big trip". I pray that none of the French workers will strike and mess up the train tickets, lol! We are 7 days cruising our own boat up the Burgundy canal, then 4 days in Paris. Praying for good weather, no intestinal concerns and polishing up on my college French which will either embarrass or impress my daughters. Happy Memorial day all!

Congratulations! It sounds like it will be a wonderful, wonderful vacation! Your family is so lucky to be able to vacation together. Even if anyone goes on strike, it will be part of the experience, and your family will be together! I know you will have an extraordinary time.

I should add I have kids, 18 and 21, and getting together for vacations at this point, is very difficult. I know you are doing the right thing going now.

Bon voyage!

Have LOTS of fun! We took our boys to England 6 years ago (they were 8, 11, and 13) and we all still talk about it. Cruising sounds like a great way to go.
