It's OK, but you might consider the Swissotel, which is next door. It's a little smaller and more cozy than the Hyatt (but I guess it all depends on what you're looking for). My overall impression of Hyatts is: big, beautiful lobbies; small, ordinary rooms.

Laurie is confusing this Hyatt with the one on McCormick. This one is at the start (or end) of the mile. I stayed there last year, got a great deal. (70 bucks, spring break) Rooms were avg, place was pretty, friendly. Food prices were OUTRAGEOUS. One adult, 2 kids had breakfast for 50 dollars!!

I agree with the earlier takes: large convention-type hotel with decent rooms and a well-maintained property. That said, there are some rooms with very dramatic city-scape views of the Wrigley Building, etc. with floor-to-ceiling windows. See if you can get one of those.
