Howard Johnson's Riverwalk Plaza-San Antonio

I have looked through months of postings and have not seen anything on the Riverwalk Plaza. Is that because it's a total dive? I wanted to stay on the Riverwalk with river view and walk out to balcony. Of course my first choice was La Mansion, but unafordable. Please tell me about the Riverwalk Plaza. We'll be there in mid June.

Although some will say its tacky. I really like the riverwalk and all of San Antonio. A balcony would be great especially if you're people watcher. The riverwalk is full of shops and resteraunts with outdoor seating. The last time I was there it was early June and even then it was pretty hot and humid. But how bad it seems will depend on what you're used to.

The address for the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel is 100 Villita St. I'm looking for rating on hotel itself and location.
Thanks.

hi traveler,
i live in san antonio and am not familiar with that hotel. what other choices do you have in your price range? my favorite downtown is the new westin riverwalk; sometimes they have specials on their website. also, homewood suites on the riverwalk has a great location. and i have recommended the riverwalk inn to several friends visiting and they have all loved it.
