Don't forget the southern loop from Texas to Califoria. Austin, San Antonio, Odesa, Midland, Carlsbad, Alamagardo, Roswell, Meteor Crater, Death Valley, San Diego up the coast as far as you dare. Or just fly to Vegas, rent a car and spread out from there. Cheapest flights and rental cars in the Southwest. Maybe anywhere.
