how to find real-time flight scheds online

Hi all

does anyone know of a one-stop place to find out flight scheds for Chicago-DC? (apart from going to each airlines website). A friend has a standby ticket to come in from Chicago to DC tomorrow evening, I am trying to figure out for her the best sched to take, including which DC airport has better timing (I may end up picking her up and don't want to be out at Dulles at 1130 PM)

thank you

Try www.itasoftware.com. Click "looking for airfares" and follow the prompts.

I don't understand the problem. Her ticket has to be on just one airline, whatever it is, if it is standby. She needs to go to the airline's employee help center and get their help with the flight with the most open seats.

Good point Gretchen...
You could also go to just about any online agency (ie Travelocity, Orbitz) and see the schedules.

If you friend is flying standby, I would be more worried about her getting on a flight.

Call the airline she is flying on and find out which flight has the most seats open.

Keep in mind, I flight with 8 open seats will more than likely be full when it takes off.

All the times I've flown non-rev, there was always a list. Make sure your friend gets listed as soon as possible and that is done at the airport.

Here is a easy-to-use tool that will show you seat availability by fare class with up to 20 different flights listed:

http://www.flyaow.com/classamex.htm

It shows various carriers, but you can key it to a particular carrier if you care to.
