How long will brunch take?

Hi,

I'm trying to squeeze in brunch at Commander's Palace during my first trip to New Orleans. The earliest they start serving is 10:30am. My flight leaves at 2:30pm. I'm staying at the Renaissance near the FQ. Will I have time to make it back to the hotel, check out and get to the airport in time? I could check out before I go to brunch but how would Commander's Palace feel if we showed up with our suitcases?

If Commander's Palace is too far out of the way, can someone recommend another place for Sunday brunch closer to our hotel?

Thanks!

It's tight, but doable. If you can be there at 10:30 and you tell them you are on a tight schedule, you'll be out by 12. Back to the hotel by 12:15 and off to MSY at 12:30.

I'm not sure it'll be quite the same experience, but you'll enjoy it nonetheless.

The Renaissance restaurant, Rene', is very good as well. Don't recall if they serve a brunch though.

I can't remember for sure, but I would be willing to bet that Commander's Palace has a coat check room and would be happy to let your store your bags there. That would be my choice, so I could take my time, then go directly to the airport from there. What is the point of going back to the hotel? Check out before brunch and take the bags with you.

I'd bet it would be not problem to check your bags unless you're traveling with a lot, just call them. Why add stress to your last day.....check out and relax, enjoy the morning and make brunch for 11:30 with your bags and a cab waiting.........GL

Thanks for the advice. I think I will check out in advance and go straight to the airport from brunch. If so, how long will the actual brunch last? I don't want to be rushed at all. Is 2 hours too long to plan?
