How dressy is Vegas in March?

Going on the 22nd.....What to take? First trip. Of course I will check out the weather forecast, but....what do people wear during the day/night?
I know it is a girly question, but we all want to "fit in."

Dress styles in Vegas run the gamut. You will see hordes in jeans or shorts and t-shirts or tube tops. You will see women who think they're hotties dressed like Paris Hilton in a Miami night club leaving little to the imagination and you wonder "how much does she cost". In the evening you'll see more people dressing up for dinner and a show, but that will still be a minority in the casinos.

Into which crowd do you wish to fit?

there was just a thread on this...type in " dress in vegas" and it should pop up.

Basically, you don't even need to get dressed in Vegas....

You need to get dressed up only if you're going to the fancy clubs, like ghostbar.

J62 put it best. You will find everything from slobs to snobs and then some. Just dress as you would everyday. You can always do as I do and spend half the day in the spa. Everyone is wearing the same thing - a robe and slippers.

The "norm" in Vegas is just regular clothes. Unless you are a celebrity or high priced hooker, nobody is looking at you.

Funny replies. Thanks for the info. I am not a Paris Hilton type, so that look is a no. I just want to celebrate 40 in "style." It's great to know that the jeans can get packed!!!!

I heard one guy tell a friend, "If you're hot, dress hot. If you're not, who cares? Wear burlap if it makes you happy."

Crass, but that's Vegas.

You will see people wearing practically everything but a swimsuit in hotels, casinos, at shows, etc.

But- if you want to do one of the most upscale restaurants at least bring business casual. And if you want to do a very trendy club - just see what Paris is wearing the the tabloids (designer names help in getting in).

When we went out in Vegas I wore designer head to toe as did my girlfriends and we got in everywhere.

To Tao I wore True Religion Jeans, Trina Turk gold sequin halter, and Prada platforms.

The next night I wore Sass & Bide jeans, Sky heavily jewled top, and Miu Miu platforms.

Our husbands all sported the exact same look; designer jeans, dress shoes, shirt, and black sport coat.

During the day we were less hoochy but similar looks.
