Houston-romantic dining

Is there a roof top or attractive terrace for a romantic dining spot?

In Houston weather you'll not want to be outside. There are nice romantic places, though - try Tony's or Cafe Annie.

The Hyatt Regency has a rooftop revolving restaurant and lounge. Another suggestion for something totally different is Rainbow Lodge...if they're still open.

Pamela, when are you coming? Some people forget that Houston's is a tropical climate and that means hot and humid in the summer. It also means that it's green practically year round and that we have very moderate winters -- assets that some of us appreciate.

The suggestions for Tony's, Hyatt Rooftop and Rainbow Lodge are good.

This website might also be of help:

Houston green practically all year round? I lived in Hou and saw alot of brown more than green. Houston does have good resturants, shopping and colleges. It is not tropical and does stink.

it also depends on how much money you want to spend for a romantic dinner. we have a couple of beautiful restaurants that are very romantic. Vargo's and Los Alamedas overlook beautiful scenery and have good food.

Sorry, Tomi, I have lived in Houston most of my life and I can tell you that it IS tropical (try looking the word up in your dictionary). With an average rainfall of 48"+ per year, it IS green most of the time, but we can have periods of drought every few years. Since you hated it so much, glad you no longer live here!
