February Weather

I realize there are no guarantees with the weather but how likely are we to get good beach weather in February in Florida from Fort Myers and south of there. Any references or opinions would be appreciated. We are looking for a low cost beach vacation in February on mainland USA.
Thanks

Go to www.wunderground.com. - use the "Travel & Activities" dropdown menu to select "Trip Planner", enter you planned destination and expected dates of travel. You will be directed to all sorts of historical weather data for that location including a chart showing what actual weather conditions were in that area during every day for the last 10 years. Study the material and you'll knowles about the local weather than many meterorologists.

We have been to Tampa and Marco Island in Feb. and have had very nice weather. I think you will be fine.

No guarantees, but the weather from Ft Myers south is usually very good.

We've also been to Marco Island in February and had very nice weather. That being said, however, I think January and February might be high season and hard to find "low cost beach accommodations" -- you won't know til you look, though.

It is my belief that all beaches on the west coast of Florida are public. That is, if you can find parking, you will be able to use the beach.

You will not find low cost accomodation right on the beach at that time unless you are comparing it to Knightsbridge or the 1st in Paris, but you will certainly find accomodation at a reasonable price within a mile or two of the beach.
