As you can see, it looks like Sunday evening for dinner is the best day for us... you're welcome to join us! Since we have some time, we aren't pressed to choose a meeting place just yet.. in fact might you have some suggestions for us?!
rrkwan posted his email on the Asia board if you'd like to contact him so he can keep you updated.
Looking forward to meeting all of you nice Texans!

If there are no strong opinions out there on the type of cuisine, I will say that Italian and Indian are my least favored. But I'll eat it and probably like it.
My favorites are New American, Thai, Mexican (if really, truly good) and Asian fusion type places.

Since I just got back last night from having met with moneygirl and laurenzo in a mini-GTG and since moneygirl mentioned how excited she was to come to Houston,
well,
Y'all have lots of fun, y'hear!
It isn't the size of the GTG, it's the PEOPLE Sure sounds like a great GTG in the making!

Woohoo!! With rkkwan, txtravelpro, cwn, msheinberg and his wife and moi, we're up to six at least!
Too bad we can't get easytraveler and laurenzo to come out... they were fun last night and our reports are on the US board. They are both planning travel to MUCH more exotic locations that Houston... so I just sighed and after they spoke of Israel and Thailand... I got poetic about the great deal I got at the Lovett Inn!
Let the countdown begin!

Well, you can probably count me in. Have been out of pocket lately but should be back to normal by early Nov. The Lovett (older nicely updated house) is close to the Za Za and there are plenty of nice places in the Montrose/Mid Town area. Would be nice area to have GTG

FWIW - Lovett Inn is about 2 blks east of Montrose and south of Westheimer. Za Za is at south end of Montrose next to Musuem of Fine Arts. There are a couple of very good Asian resuaurants on Montrose between the two - Khan's and the other whose name escapes me for the moment but I'll pass it along as soon as the memory returns (!). Raven Grill (American/SW "fusion") on
Bisonnett is also very close and a few blocks west of Montrose.
Debi - so sorry the timing isnt right for you.
