Hotwire, Embarcadero Omni
I'm hoping someone with a little (read: a lot) more experience will advise me if the Hotwire hotel listed in the San Francisco Embarcadero is probably the Omni. We stayed there once before and would like to stay again but for a much lower price. Not asking for absolutes and guarantees, but a sneaking suspicion will help.

There IS an additional way to check. Usually Hotwire tells you the TripAdvisor star rating, and, more importantly, the number of reviews -- you can often match it up. The 4* Embarcadero hotel is 4-1/2* on TripAdvisor, with 260+ reviews. Based on that, it's very likely the Meridien (Hyatt Regency is only 4* on TripAdvisor, whereas the listed hotel is 4-1/2*, and the Omni has 243 reviews, whereas the Meridien has 269. I used this method to be "certain" I got the Montelucia in Phoenix this past Saturday night!

I used the above method to narrow down the Wynn in Las Vegas (and was, obviously, thrilled).
You have to click on "Continue" for each hotel to see the TripAdvisor rating/reviews (scroll down, to the right of the area map).
Note that if you keep checking, the TA information may disappear. Sometimes it will reappear if you delete your cookies, sometimes not.

djkbooks, thanks for the additional info. The last time I was browsing on Hotwire, I didn't see the TA ratings... I thought Hotwire had closed down on this loophole, but based you what you're saying, I just have to try my luck.
