I'm an Australian trying so hard to decide between Wynn, The Venetian or Bellagio.
Our big problem is that I have a crook knee and cannot walk long distances.
We will be in Vegas for 3 nights in December and would like to stay at a "special" hotel. 2 questions please.
Which hotel is in the best position?
Is there a bus/shuttle along the strip ?
Will just want to visit other casinos for shows etc. , visit restaurants and the Fashion Centre. My husband will do a Canyon tour but I will stay around the strip.
I will appreciate all advise. Thank you.

Hi, yes there is a bus, but...the walking is ATROCIUOUS in LV. Even to get from the hotel to the street for the bus can be a hike.
Why don't you rent an electric mobility scooter? Neither my hubby nor I walk easily and that's what we did. Some hotels already have them on site---and they may be delivered to bell desk at others. You may drive take them from hotel to hotel. I believe the cost is $40 for a 24 hour period. And people are wonderful. They help you with doors etc. And also, there's always the taxi. Enjoy your stay---wish I were going w/you.

But they have been abused by many who don't need them, now that people know about them, so make sure you've made arrangements in advance. The Venetian is in the best position (Wynn is at the end, Bellagio is set farther back from the street); but from all accounts, the Wynn is the place to go! (And is across from the mall!)

Unfortunately, no matter which hotel you use, you will have to walk very long distances to get anywhere - even just to the on-site restaurants, spa, whatever.

An electric scooter is a great suggestion. Or barring that, just a regular transport wheelchair if your DH can cope w/ pushing it. But that won't help the day you are on your own.

Thanks to you all for your replys. The motorised scooter sounds great but I don't think I'm bad enough to use one that perhaps someone worse off may need.
I will just take things slowly !
As for hotels , its a hard choice. I get the feeling that Wynn is a bit more upmarket. Is this so? I am just worried about its position.

All three of the hotels you mentioned are upmarket, although the Wynn is the newest.

I would choose the Venetian. All rooms are very large. It's a very short walk to the Fashion Show Mall (as is the Wynn), but more centrally located than the Wynn. You'll find the Mirage and Treasure Island directly across from The Venetian. Just south of the Mirage are the Forum Shops at Caesars for even more shopping.

You'll also be able to ride the monorail if you choose, which does have a stop that serves The Venetian/Harrahs.

Can you please tell me which rooms are best. The Venetian or the Venetzia wings ? The latter I gather are quite a hike from restaurants, cascino etc. and in a separate wing.
Are the club rooms of the Venetzia wing worth the extra ? (ie with breakfast, canapes and evening drinks included)
Any info. you can offer about The Venetian before I book I will be very grateful. Cheers.
