We had a lovely experience in Pacific Grove at the Lighthouse Inn and Suites. I must qualify that by stating you should insist on the 'suites' which are in a separate building across the street and approx 100 yds down the road from the Inn which is a small residential road actually, little traffic. Also, I think the summertime was the best time because of the late afternoon poolside barbeque buffet served back at the Inn so you do have to walk back there for that feature. They serve a marvelous cooked to order breakfast for the guests of the suites, in a beautiful dining and lounge building, with fireplace, sofas and host afternoon drinks and hors'derves there also.

My son did a recent trip to the Monterey Carmel area and did stay at the Mission Ranch and actually did see Clint Eastwood at the registration desk. He is on his property alot. The Mission Ranch is a great place to stay as it is serene and beautiful and not far from anything. When my husband and I were in that area last year we stayed at the Tickle Pink which was nice but if I went back I would stay at the Mission Ranch. The Tickle Pink was nice but our view from our room was obstructed by trees and the jacuzzi was not working. If you stay there you need to make sure you get the right room.
