Hotels in Seward, AK

Any recommendations for a mid-priced, nice clean hotel in Seward, AK. (NOT A BED & BREAKFAST!) Also, are there any hotels in Girdwood other than the Alyeska Resort? Thanks.

Alyeska is the only hotel option in Girdwood. The Holiday Inn Express gets pretty good marks in Seward and is relatively new.

Holiday Inn Express was fine for us in Seward. Nicer view if you're facing the harbor instead of the parking lot

Just curious, why are you not looking for a B&B? They tend to be a much better deal than hotels in AK, especially in Seward.

I've stayed at the Edgewater Hotel on each of my Seward trips. It's right on the bay and just a few steps from the Sealife Center. It has been comfortable for me and it has lobby computers for checking e-mail, an important feature since I don't carry a laptop on trips.

It's become a Best Western hotel since I've stayed there and I have no idea whether thats a plus or minus.

How about a cabin?
We stayed at Bear Creek Cabins and found them to be an excellent choice. Clean, updated and cozy.
