Hotels in or near Williamsburg, VA

Planning a 2 night stay in Williamsburg in early April for family of 5. Anyone has suggestions on a nice hotel with family suites? thanks.

I'm not sure what your budget is, but we stayed at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg and thought it was lovely. We had a one bedroom condo with a full kitchen, dining room, washer and dryer. The resort is first class with pools, golf, tennis, bikes, etc. I can highly recommend.

We've also stayed at Kingsmill and loved it enough to go back a second time. Not sure if we would ever stay anywhere else in Williamsburg. But there are many hotels available all over the city and most look very nice. Kingsmill is a huge resort and may not be what you are looking for.

I was actually looking at Kingsmill so that's good to know that it has two recommendations right here. Thanks.

like the Woodlands, it's new, big rooms with either 2 queens or a suite with a king and pullout queen (with 2 TV's, a bonus with kids) a refrigerator, sink and microwave, a pool, mini-golf and it's right next to the historical area and an easy walk.

The rates also include breakfast, which was pretty good for a continental, cereal, bagels, fruit, pastries, coffee, juice, etc.

I think it's the best bet for a family.

Also, the rooms with 2 queens have a pullout big chair so they can sleep 5.
