Hotels in Jackson Hole?

Hi, Can someone recommend a hotel in Jackson Hole? We are a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 older teens) and are planning to stay in Jackson Hole both the first and last nights of our vacation. We are most likely looking at booking two rooms. Here is the plan:

Friday Morning - Arrive in Jackson from NY(early morning flight)

Saturday - Grand Teton - Jenny Lake Lodge

Tuesday - West Yellowstone - Holiday Inn Sunspree and visit to Yellowstone

Thursday - Brooks Lake Lodge - Dubois Wyoming

Sunday - need accomodation in Jackson Hole

Monday - fly back to NY

In Jackson Hole we think it makes sense to stay in town so we don't have to bother with finding parking and because we are only there for a short time. Any suggestions? So far we have come up with Trapper Inn, Ranch Inn or Painted Buffalo but they all get mixed reviews.

Thanks!
Susan

Angler's Inn was fine for us.

Elk country Inn has cabins with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed if you can deal with just one bathroom.

Susan,
Last Sept we stayed at The Best Western Lodge at Jackson Hole. In town they call it "The Bears". If you stay there you will see why. Very comfy beds, jacuzzi tub in our room was great at the end of each day. They serve a complimentary full breakfast each morning. Your teens would probably enjoy the pool, its an indoor/outdoor. The room also offered a sofa sleeper, coffee maker, micro and small fridge. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Jackson has quite a few nice, basic hotels to choose from. Take a peek at tripadvisor.com reviews. I stayed at one that was very reasonable - but have no idea of the name.

In late May, we stayed in the Trapper Inn in Jackson. Nice, reasonable, clean -- quite good for a motel, especially. Right on the main street. They were constructing a big addition that was due to be done early July.

Enjoy!

Hi susan, i replied to your other post re hotels, not sure if you saw it.
We stayed in the Virginian a few years ago - fairly nice older property but had to drive to town. Last summer we stayed just a block from town at The Ranch Inn and walked everywhere, including the Alpine Slide. Much preferred that location. Here's my trip report link for more details:

Hope this helps. Your trip sounds great, have fun!
