Hotel under $150. in San Francisco

I want to be very near Market Street at the Mason and Powell area. We are going to the an event at the Warfield, so I want to be close enough for a short bus trip or cab ride. If anyone has suggestions in this area, I'd appreciate it. I am checking Trip Advisor, and have stayed on Geary and south of Market in the past. Thanks!

Hi trippinkpj, you might want to check out the Villa Florence Hotel which is just a couple of blocks up Powell from Market. They are part of the Kimpton Group. They very well might fall within your budget. I have stayed there a lot, an older building, rooms are not real large but always clean with a great bed. Hosted wine hour in their lobby. Very pleasant hotel staff. The Kuleto Restaurant is attached to the Villa Florence.

Not exactly in the area. But I did a bid at Priceline yesterday and ended up staying at the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental on Nob Hill for 125.00 per night.

Also not in the right area, but Cow Hollow Motor Inn (funny name, nice place) has nice rooms for around $85 and up. Mine next week is $112 with AAA.

Thanks y'all. That's amazing about the Mark Hopkins Anita. Roothy, I like the Cow Hollow area (I've stayed at the Coventry Motor Inn), but this time I want to be near Market/ Union Square area.
LoveItaly- I will check on the Villa Florence. I've eaten at that Kuleto's before, and it did seem like a nice spot.

check out the Econolodge on Lombard. It even has parking, if you get there early enough. The room to stay in is 435. It has a king sized bed and a view of the Golden Gate bridge
