Hotel near Marlins Park
We are flying into Fort Lauderdale early afternoon and heading to a game at Marlins Park that evening. Where can we stay for that one night before heading to Naples the next day? We won't get there until after the game so we don't need anything fancy, just clean and safe. Also, is there somewhere good to eat not too far from FLL? Thank you!

If you are traveling to Naples and unless you prefer to use Rte 41 then you are going to be using I-75 west. After the game you could take 836 west to 826 north and access I-75 that way, or you could return up I-95.
Be very aware of the toll road situation down here and the fact that there are some tollroads which do not accept cash. You will want to avoid local sections of Florida's Turnpike probably.
Find a hotel somewhere convenient to I-75 west and use it after the game as has been suggested.

I wouldn't stay near the stadium. There is a brand new best western premier on Flagler off of Lejuene road that looks decent and it's heading west. You could keep heading west in the morning up US41 if that's the route you're taking. You could even stop by Versailles after the game to get some Cuban food or a 'cafecito' they're open 24 hours.
Or were you planning on using I75 to get to Naples?

Didn't realize your food question was for before the game. There's not much near fll that's on your way to miami. I would drive south on 95 and try something in wynwood or Brickell. Lots of choices there and it wouldn't throw you off track.
