hotel near jfk

Anyone ever stayed at a hotel near JFK that could recommend it. My husband and I are flying in at 100 a.m ans astaying a secons night before our flight to Hong Kong. I have been reading mixed reviews from hotels around the area.

The Best Western JFK is fine. They have free shuttle to and from the airport. The restaurant food is supprisingly good.

However, since you are staying two nights maybe you want a swimming pool for something to do?

I am pretty sure the Holiday Inn has a swimming pool. I have stayed there--it is a very nice hotel--but it is expensive and I thought the staff was very unhelpful.

You could always take the skytrain to Jamaica Station then take the LIRR or Subway into NYC. It is as easy as pie.

I like the Doubletree if we stay at JFK. Food's not too bad and love those free cookies.

For 2 nights I wouldn't stay at JFK. The prices are rarely that much cheaper than staying in Manhattan and there's nothing to do out at the airport. You're forced to eat inside your hotel since there are few restaurants within reasonable distance. If there are just 2 of you, I'd bid on a room on Priceline in Manhattan.
