hotel near cruise ship

leaving on an Alaska cruise Sept. 18 from Seattle and would like to visit the city for one day prior. Any suggestions where we might stay near the ship and what to see and do? Thanks!!

Seattle Marriott Waterfront is across from the where the cruise ships dock.

The Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, and Seattle Center are favorites. There are city tours you might like to take since you are only here for one day.

The Marriott is across the street only from Pier 66 where NCL and (occasionally) Celebrity dock. If you're going on Princess or Holland America, they dock a mile south at Pier 30; no hotels (or anything else) near there. In either case, any of the downtown hotels will be a short taxi ride from either.

Thanks for the info. We are going on Princess; a short taxi ride will be great.

Thanks Gardyloo. I saw the HUGE Celebrity ship pulled up in front of Anthony's restaurant. I assumed that's where they all docked. My mistake.
