Celebrity uses Pier 91, a couple of miles north of downtown. In a cab or towncar from the airport, you're looking at roughly 30-35 minutes, but traffic can slow things down a little. Depending on when your cruise is, things around the central waterfront might be torn up a little due to a couple of construction projects, but the drivers will know how to avoid long delays.

A taxi or towncar from the airport will run around $50; there are shuttle services that will be a little less (maybe $22 per person, so $44 for two.) Public transportation (buses etc.) are not at all convenient for Pier 91.

Thank you so much for the information. Would you happen to know of a convenient hotel close by in case we choose to fly in a day early? Do any hotels provide shuttle service to the Pier? We would be interested in a Marriott property if possible. Thank you for any help.

There are no hotels close to Pier 91; a cab from a downtown hotel will run around $15 - $20.

If you mean a free shuttle, the only one I know of is the Silver Cloud Stadium - http://www.silvercloud.com/seattlestadium/ - which, like all downtown Seattle hotels, will be quite expensive during cruise season.

You might want to consult the West Coast Departures board at Cruise Critic - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=413 - where these things are discussed again and again and again...

Thank you again. I will probably stay downtown and take a taxi to the Pier.

Take the train downtown, get off at Macy's. Cab the rest of the way.

From my Trip report:
"Landed at Seattle on a morning flight. A short 10 minutes’ walk took us to the Light Rail Transit terminal at the airport. Pay $2.75 per person on a one way fare to Westlake, the end of the line and into the heart of downtown Seattle. We walked off the station and on to the street right by Macy’s. Took a cab to Pier 91 where the ship was docked for $15 and we board the ship before noon. Total cost so far $20.50."
