Hotel in Mill Valley

We have reservations at the Acqua Hotel in Mill Valley, CA. for the week of August 4th.
We are going to tour the wine country, Muir Woods, the coast North etc...

Does anyone know this hotel? It looked like a nice quiet place to come back to in the evenings.

Any opinions appreciated.

All I can tell you is there was a murder there a few years ago of a child. You might also check out the Mill Valley Inn which is in town. MV has lots to check out simply on foot.

Well, being from Nashville I knew that Sammy Hagar (aka The Red Rocker)was a part owner of the hotel. The Bright Star Foundation and Sammy Hagar create awareness and raise money for abused children. I wonder if there is any connection with the death of the child and his work with The Foundation?

Still, I am curious if anyone has stayed there. BTY, I wouldn't want to know how many gruesome crimes have been committed in all the hotels I have stayed in across this country!

However, thanks to PamSF for giving what info she had.

The child was killed by her own mother. It shouldn't reflect badly on the hotel. It's not as if she was killed by an intruder due to poor security or by a member of the staff or something.
