Hotel in downtown Nashville

I am planning a trip for my mom and I. Can you recommend a nice hotel that is centrally located? We would like to be downtown near bars/restaurants/etc. We would like to stay for less than 150/nt. Thanks!

the vanderbilt plaza is very nice with a great location but i'm not sure if you can get it for under $150. try it or call the hotel and see what they say.

The Vanderbilt Plaza, the Wyndham, the Doubletree and the Holiday Inn Express may have special "Entertainment card" rates if you call the hotel directly. If the rate is great, you can easily buy an entertainment membership online.

While I like the Vanderbilt Plaza, it isn't "downtown." I presume jpw is looking for a hotel near the 2nd Avenue/Broadway entertainment district. My favorite in that area is the venerable but recently restored Hermitage. www.thehermitagehotel.com

You will need a car if you stay at the Vanderbilt Plaza. The Hermitage is lovely and you can walk to things downtown from there.

The Hilton Suites Downtown is definitely right smack in the middle of where you want to be, although it may be a a few $$ more than you're looking to spend (but so is The Hermitage). You might get lucky with "specials" or "package rates" for your dates.

Have fun.

If you want something really nice (and possibly expensive), the Hermitage is the way to go. Very nice hotel and great service. You can walk to just about everything from there. Not sure if you could get in under $150 a night, though.

If you are more on a budget, the Holiday Inn Express on Broadway would fit the bill nicely. It is pretty nice and again, within walking distance of most attractions/restaurants/bars.

There used to be a nice Stouffer Hotel downtown. Not sure if it is still there.
