Hot springs pool near Mammoth in YNP
I've read several posts about hot springs near Mammoth in YNP. This year, I looked and looked and never saw a sign or anyone in the river.
Could someone give me a description of exactly where to look for it?
Thanks

Here's information for "Boiling River" from the National Park Service Site:
It is on the road between Mammoth and the North/west entrance.
A sign near where the road crosses the Gardner River marks the 45th parallel of latitude. The 45th parallel is an imaginary line that circles the globe halfway between the equator and the North Pole.
A parking area on the east side of the road is used by bathers in the "Boiling River." Bathers must walk upstream about a half mile from the parking area to the place where the footpath reaches the river. This spot is also marked by large clouds of steam, especially in cold weather. Here, a large hot spring, known as Boiling River, enters the Gardner River. The hot and the cold water mix in pools along the river's edge. Bathers are allowed in the river during daylight hours only. Bathing suits are required

There is a small pull-off/parking lot and you usually don't see any signs about Boiling River until you are in the parking lot.
Also the area is closed starting some time in the spring and doesn't open until late June or maybe early July due to high water caused by snow melt.
