Honeymoon Suggestions??
My fiance and I are planning on having our honeymoon in Vegas. We haven't booked it yet though. My fiance's boss just came back from a trip to Vegas, and he stayed at the Bellagio, where we were also planning to say. He says the Bellagio is a really nice place, but it's extremely expensive, and even more so if you want a good room. He said the room he got was the lakeview room, which it two steps up from the cheapest room.. and it was pretty much just like any other hotel room. He also said he ended up spending $2000+ on entertainment and food, and $200 on tips alone. He also said it was difficult to get reservations at the restaurants in the hotel. They were booked for two weeks.
Another friend of mine said he visits Vegas all the time. He says that he doesn't think Vegas would be the place for us. We aren't into gambling or bars... we just like to have fun, and see some attractions/shows.
Our budget is very small.... any other Honeymoon suggestions, or should we stick with Vegas?

Definitely not NYC. I live in NJ, about 15 mins from the city.
It's hard to say what my Fiance and I like because this will only be our 2nd trip together. We went to Niagara Falls in September. That's when we got engaged. I guess we just like to have a good time... and we'd like to do things together... we're not really into hanging with any big crowds or partying/clubbing - things like that. We like movies, music, shows, good food, etc.

I think you should go to vegas if you think you want to go to vegas. You obviously chose it for a reason, right?
That said, it can be expensive. You certainly don't have to stay at Bellagio, but you may find a deal there you like, depending on when your honeymoon is (when is it, by the way?). There are plenty of decent hotels in Vegas for less money. And a lakeview room at Bellagio is not just like any other hotel room, for the reason that it is indeed a lakeview room. Having a room overlooking the fountains is not like any experience you'll have anywhere else. You may not care, but it's certainly not typical.
Shows in Vegas are generally very expensive. Cirque du Soleil shows are typically $100 and up per ticket. Other big name shows will most likely run you at least $75 per ticket.
Why not do some research on Vegas and see what you think you'd be interested in, then determine if those things break your budget.
And finally, if you guys don't know what you want to do on your honeymoon, how can you expect us to know?
People have such varied interests that it's difficult to choose a vacation for someone else without a lot of input on what that someone else wants.
