Home values
This is an interesting site that I have never seen before here but it does do a fairly accurate job with home values. Just thought it might be helpful to people who are occasionally on here and are relocating.

It may be good as a guide, but many areas of the US are either missing (due to a lack of data), or outdated. For example, my home was built in 2000 but is not even in the data base. It may give you an idea as to what a neighborhood value is, however. There are other sites (in the industry) which provide much better data.

I agree there are better sites out there but this one is nice because you do not need to sign up for anything or have anyone contact you. For people not in the "industry", its a nice one.

Zillow won't do much for you in Manhattan because of the predominance of Co-ops. Most of the prices are taxable value, not market value, so it will help you calculate property taxes and not much else.

A coworker of my husband told us about this. He used it when he moved here. Anyway, our home is only 5 years old, and our entire area is on the site, and accurate, from what I can see. I did put in a bunch of our old addresses, and only one did not come up.
