Thanks WannabeinaMonsterra! I called Glenlaurel and they have only 1 room left since there will be a conference going on. Do not know if we want to be the only non-conference folks on site
Will check out Inn @ Cedar Falls.....You are right, Hocking Hills is so much closer and a stop in Lancaster to browse around would be nice

Hocking Hills is wonderful. My husband and I went there a few years back for our anniversary. We rented a cabin and took our dog. She had a blast and we enjoyed the hot tub. What a wonderful place to enjoy the scenery and each other. Would love to go back there again and do absolutely nothing! Enjoy it!

We stayed in a beautiful cabin in Hocking Hills over the week end. There was a family of cats, including a kitten living there which we fed while staying there. I fell in love with them and hated to leave them there. The night before we left we had four raccoons on the porch ( no food was left out though) and we heard a cat screaming, next morning I noticed the kitten had a deep gash in his back paw. I tried to clean it but he was not too willing. My concern is that is someone going to feed and take care of these cats. Who can I contact? I tried to contact the owners of the cabin, but they never got back to me yet. I have to make sure that these cats are ok. The mom only had three legs she can walk on, the front leg she does not bear any weight on.

In case anyone else is interested to have some adventure in Hocking Hills, we are renting out our cabin - http://logansretreat.com/. You'll definitely love the privacy we can offer because we have 4 acres of space including the woods and a private pond, but we can also give you indoor satisfaction because we have a game room, a porch, and a hot tub. If you're in search of some good food, you're just a few minutes drive away from the city.
