Hilton New Orleans Riverside

Could some one tell me about the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel? Is it nice, clean and a good place to stay? Please let me know. Thanks for any advice.

It's just fine, especially if you ask for a room overlooking the river. It's close to the French Quarter but doesn't really have any New Orleans ambience. It's especially good for people travelling with children who don't want to stay in the Quarter but want to be nearby.

It is really large. Over 1,500 rooms, I think. I got lost over and over while there! It is a nice hotel and you will be pleased and it sits atop a mall, too.

It is a very large business oriented hotel, but the location is good: adjacent to a shopping mall and the convention center, near the Aquarium, on the river (the rooms with river view are nice). Fairly easy walk to the French Quarter. So the summary would be convenient, good location, comfortable, but no local ambience, and VERY large.

Thanks for your replies. I plan on visiting New Orleans soon and I got a great rate for that hotel. Thanks a lot for your help.
