Astor Crowne Plaza in New Orleans
I did a search and the last report on this hotel was in October. Has anyone stayed at it recently since the construction is finished? We have reservations there. Is it nice? Is it in a good location for seeing New Orleans for the first time? Thanks.

Mediachick, I'd book it! The hotel is very nice. I saw the rooms when it first opened and I was impressed. The public areas are nice as well. I'd probably ask for a room away from Bourbon Street because of the noise factor, but that's a personal call.
Go and enjoy the fest!

Alohaaa,
Stayed there in Oct. and had a room at about the 12th floor over looking B'Street and no problem w/ noise...except for an occasional "boom boom" from some of the cars with the big sound systems.
The location is excellent. If you go out the back door you're right on B'Street, Redfish, Acme Oyster etc.
