Hilton Head weather question

Going to Hilton Head in mid-September -- will evening temps require a sweatshirt/sweater or will the evenings still be warm? I'm assuming the temps will be cooler on the beach than inland. Thanks ........

I would assume it is going to be quite nice, but I am not a soothsayer. Have you checked www.weather.com?

Temps will be much warmer on the beach than inland. The ocean water temps will still be in the mid 80s which will keep the air from cooling down.

You will not need a sweatshirt at night (OMG you'd roast) but indoors you may because air conditioning will be frigid.

September is still summer for us. You'd burn up in a sweatshirt outdoors.

Thanks very much GoT -- I wondered how long it would be before i got a snarky reply from someone to "look it up." I'm not familiar with that area and just ASSuming, I'd figure cooler weather on the water as in Maine. Turns out I was wrong!

And that's good news too -- my traveling companion is coming from England and thus has much less to pack and lug around the airport.

LOL! Yes, it is definitely still summer for us in September.

You'll have gorgeous weather. Bring your summer clothes and leave the jackets at home!

Our weather is still in the mid 90s right now.

GoT - Did you fare OK with the bad weather? My husband, son and mother flew out of MB on Wed just before the storm (previouly scheduled, what timing!). Charleston got almost 5 inches of rain last week that flooded downtown, but I think yesterday everything was fine.

A second for GoT's perfect answer. Just returned from an 8/31-9/6 visit and it was a warm & beautiful way to extend the summer. Also try to do lunch at Mrs. Wilkes in Savannah - an easy drive and a delightful afternoon.
