I just checked on American Airlines website and did not see any specials/deals to Hawaii. I checked out a quote from my city to Maui and it came up $1900.00 for two people. Kind of high if you ask me.

There were specials to Hawaii after the new year last week but I noticed the rates went up this week. We booked Detroit to Maui, Kaui to Detroit, April 29 - May 9 for $607 per person.

Just booked an August flight from Detroit to San Francisco, then from San Francisco home to Detroit. NorthWest, $246/rt. Seemed like a great price, coming and going out of 2 different airports too.

Happy Trails,
Paul

I just booked two r/t tickets from Sacramento to HNL on Hawaiian Airlines (NON-STOP, wide-body flights) for $425 per ticket. Total with taxes & fees for both tickets on Travelocity was $904, which beats everything else I've found by at least $13. United is offering cheaper flights from SMF - HNL, but you have to connect through SFO or LAX. Seems to me it was worth it to pay about $75/ticket more to fly non-stop out of SMF (we live approx. 10 minutes from SMF).

If you paid $299 for that ticket I'd say you got a discount, but $425 is pretty standard. When are you traveling?
