That's right: all you travelers: Look at Maui , you will love it. Kauai, not so much!

OMG..first I was teary eyed over the wonderful celebration at Gaylords. 40 years, Wow, Congratulations. Great picture too. Having been married in Kauai, it holds so much romantic meaning for me..glad you guys experienced too.

Then I was LMAO thinking of you on the ATV adventure- I could see where it was out of your comfort range...too funny!! Looks like you guys are headed for a nearby bank or gas station, ha!

I am afraid Kauai sucked you in. "If you like Kauai send your friends to Maui" If you are saying that already...you'll be back!

Great report. Too bad about the luggage, but at least you got it back, right. ps..Girls from work should be happy you brought them anything, even if the items were "deformed'

2013--who's got the big d-day iceeu2 ???

Great report, Cheryl!!! Thanks for all the info. You hit on a lot of things we want to do on our trip, tho now I'm having second thoughts on the Kipu Ranch tour, lol. Hadn't known about Gaylords. We're going for our 25th. Sounds like something I'll have to look in to. Glad you had such a wonderful time.

You're right, icee. I'm crossing the days off on my calendar! Hey, did I see your name on TripAdvisor, too? God bless Al Gore for creating the internet (lol). Such a fabulous planning tool!

Over there I'm "JustAnotherMom". I know, not too inspired. Started that when we were going on a family trip. I love TA, but am SOOOO happy to have found this forum. You guys are a wealth of info. Plus, it's VERY entertaining! lol

Virg, be sure to go ahead and put Kauai on your calendar for July, 2013. There will be a pahtee in Hanalei! Maybe even a bonfire or twenty!

maybe I read your trip report wrong, but I got the vibe that your trip was just ok to SD, O'ahu and Kauai..
