Help with Trip
My wife and I will be spending Sept 24-28 in Vermont/New Hampshire. What are the chances the leaves will be in bloom?
And can anyone recommend a good place to stay and a couple of restaurants mid to upper price range
Thanks
Bruce

A few years ago, Columbus Day weekend was the "peak" weekend for autumn color in southern NH and Vt and also southern Maine. It was gorgeous! We had seafood (lobster) at a place called the Weather Vane. I can't recall the motel, but it was on the Mass/NH state line area. It was a Comfort Inn or something similar. I thought we had pretty color here in Illinois... but WOW.. the hillsides looked like they were on fire!

I think that would be a great time for northern NH. Check out Littleton NH right off Exit 42 on RT. 93. Main street is great go to Claim Shell, Beal House for a meal and shop for fashions at All That Jazz! Check out the Kankamangus Highway for an explosion of color.
