Help with road trip

Need a place to stay, Half way point between Asheville NC and Atlanta. according to mapquest it would be someplace south of Greenville SC.. I am not familar with that area.. will be checking with AAA but would like some local advice. Thanks

Hi Susannah- you might get more replies if your title is more specific, such as: "need hotel help between Asheville NC and Atlanta"

go to freetrip.com. After you enter the two points and are scrolling down to submit, check off the hotel price range you want. Freetrip wil list miles, time and hotels.

If all you're looking for is indeed "a place to stay", as opposed to, say, a B&B or a resort, try using the AAA tour book for that region. The tour books list hotels and motels by town/city, along with rates and bare-bones descriptions of amenities.
