The trip is at the end of next week. Any thing new to be aware of? I've gotten some good ideas so far.

Suzie, you should be in the hotel by now. The Marriott hotel is located in a very beautiful urban village called Legacy Town Center. It has several blocks of restaurants and shops all within walking distance, and even an art-house theater, the Angelika.

The concept of building urban villages in the suburbs has exploded across the Dallas area. The idea is to combine shopping, restaurants, offices, housing and transportation into a small, walkable area, and make it comfortable for people on foot, not convenient for people in cars. Legacy certainly fits that description. I'm sure you'll enjoy your time there.

here's a URL for Legacy:

BTW, here's a list of restaurants that are walking distance from your hotel:

Bob's Steak & Chop House
Cafe Express
Cold Stone Creamery
Crú Wine Bar
Half Shells Seafood Grill
Jamba Juice
Jasper's
Main Street Bakery & Bistro
Mi Cocina
Naan Korean Restaurant
Rice Boxx
Sal's Pizza
Samui Thai Cuisine
Starbuck's Coffee
Taco Diner

Thanks for all your help. Our group dinner was at Bob's Steak and Chop since they would take a reservation for 30 people at 9pm on a Saturday night.

Many people tried the other places as well. My DH and I ate at Half Shell 3 times. A group loved Jasper's. Cold Stone Creamery is too die for.

Thanks again.
