I think that the beach is your best choice. I dont't know where you are coming from but I would recommend Cape Cod, Myrtle Beach SC, or anywhere in FL. Don't try for the quaint, historic, or peaceful. Go for the Honky Tonk type of atmosphere. Another place my teens loved was Lake George NY. Save the wine tastings, sunset watchings, and walks on the beach for the blissful years to come. I think you should go with what will make everyone happy.

You need to find a place with lots of other teens. How about Club Med with a teen program?

Go to Maui, stay at Kaanapali Beach where all the action is with the other kids and stuff. Stick a snorkel in their mouths and leave 'em to it while you drive the Hana highway.

Friends of ours took two "very spoiled" teenage boys on an Alaska cruise. They LOVED it and complained the entire time before they went. This type of trip combines the cruise they want with the wonderful sights you would enjoy. They will also come to appreciate the sights too. (I have two teenage sons who complain about the trips and love every one we've selected!!)

I'd like to follow up on my earlier post, too. We took our teen and almost-teen on a Caribbean cruise in June. It was a great family trip--having two staterooms was money well spent. Two bathrooms was nice plus everyone had a little privacy once in awhile. I think my family would agree, though, that a beach vacation to Jamaica is still our favorite family trip--way more relaxing than our cruise (too many activities, etc. on a cruise to choose from). I certainly wouldn't turn down another cruise, though
