Thank you and God bless you!
1. My family voted for either Colorado Springs or Zion/Bryce.
2. Dates: July 30 or 31 to August 6 or 7.
3. Husband and I, and sons 27 and 21
4. Which location is better for that time of year
5. Which airport do we fly into
6. Where do we stay
7. What do we do
8. Heavy pressure to please everyone
9. Need to plan now
Any help welcome!

You really need to do some preliminary research. You don't even mention how much you want to spend, etc
Go to the library and get a guidebook, look at tourist oriented websites for those particular locations, look for trip reports from those places, etc.

4. Which location is better for that time of year
Both are fine that time of year.
5. Which airport do we fly into
Las Vegas for Bryce/Zion, either Denver or Colorado Springs for Colorado Springs, depending on what's available from your departure city
6. Where do we stay
Probably too late to get lodging inside the parks so most likely Springdale for Zion and Ruby's for Bryce. Many options for Colorado Springs.

Thank you everyone for your help!
Did some research, as recommended, for example, opened up my United States road atlas and looked at Utah to see where Zion and Bryce were. That was very helpful!
Online lodging search for St. George took me to Hilton Garden Inn eventually, which reminded me to call our friend who helps us everytime we travel. He will put us at HGI or Homewood Suites. Thanks be to God for the reminder to call him!
Tried my own flight research online, then ended up asking our old reliable travel agency for help. Agent got United to come down in price, and got us through Denver instead of O'Hare, which pleased my husband!
My son who wanted to go to Utah is pleased we got it worked out.
I found St. George Parish online in St. George, and pray I'll get there everyday for Mass.
Agent got us a rental car through Thrifty.
I pray all of you have safe and holy vacations!
God bless you!

Glad you looked at a map. It's funny how handy those can be
A hint - take along your GPS on the trip. If you don't have one, buy one before you go. For us it was most helpful in finding out where the next gas station might be and what restuarants may be available in the next town - rather than just driving and wondering.
Lucky you re the hotels. Maybe your friend can adopt another Hilton fan?
If you want to visit another great place, consider going to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon.
Enjoy your trip!

There are loads of good posts here on Bryce Canyon and Zion. Definitely would recommend a board search for more information.
And starrs's suggestion to include the Grand Canyon North Rim is a good one, especially if you haven't seen this before.

One more piece of advice. It will be very hot and extremely dry, so make sure you wear hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. And drink a lot of water throughout the day, even if you don't feel thirsty. You want to make sure to avoid dehydration, sunstroke, and the like, and this is the way to do so.
