Do you mean Waterbury, VT? CT?
If you mean Vermont, for dinner go to the Mist Grill. The Alchemist Brew Pub is a must as well. If you need a snack, pop up to the Ben & Jerry's factory and get an ice cream cone.

I can't recommend restaurants in Waterbury area as I'm not familiar with that area; however, I can't recommend plenty of good restaurants in the Hartford / West Hartford area which is approx. 20 25 min. drive from Waterbury. let me know if interested.

In Waterbury itself--Diorio's is always good. Located downtown and has been around a long time and is consistently better than most.Ask for a booth--they are quite cool. In nearby Middlebury Emmanuels is always a good bet Small informal place but top notch food. In Woodbury you can't go wrong with Carmen Anthonys (seafood). There is a Carmen Anthony Steakhouse in Waterbury itself--however I have never been there. As mentioned previously The Mayflower Inn is fabulous -however pricey- and a bit of a drive from Waterbury perhaps 25 minutes. Good luck! h

Also should recommend a place in Southbury (my home town) called Cafe Grappa (just off I84 exit 14) Easy on off and 10-15 minutes from Waterbury--20 minutes or so to Danbury) Waterbury exits are like 18 thru 25 on 84 to give you a perspective. Emmanuels would be exit 17. Carmen Anthonys is exit 15. Also off exit 15 is Coriander Restaurant in Woodbury--also very good. Hope you are receiving these ideas. H
