Help...need place in Chicago NEXT week

This is very short notice but I want my husband to take my son to see the Cubs play next week. He absolutely loves the Cubs. It is our Spring break and we just found out DH will be off work too!!
I need help on where to stay and how to get tickets.
They can be there April 16 - 20 for games on 16( hopefully), 17, 18 &19. Any or all of these would be great.
I know it's unlikely for them to see all the games but 2 maybe 3 is what I'm looking for.
They would like to stay close to Wrigley , if possible. I know this is asking a lot but any ideas is greatly appreciated.
Thank you .

Here is a link to some hotels close to Wrigley Field.

I am sorry I have not stayed at any of these hotels personally. But you can check them out on Trip Advisor.

You don't really need to stay close to Wrigley. The stadium is about 4 miles north of the central business district and can be reached easily by public transit. If you stay downtown, you'd be able to take in some of the other sights while you're here.

Almost any hotel in the North Michigan Ave or Loop areas would be fine. If there will be at least 3 of you, you may want a suite-type hotel for a bit more room. Look into the Homewood Suites on E Grand, Hawthorne Suites on Illinois, Embassy Suites on State or Columbus or Omni on Michigan. There's also a new Residence Inn and Spring Hill Suites on North Dearborn that just opened within the last 2 weeks.

To get to Wrigley, catch the CTA Red Line train along State Street toward Howard. Exit at Addison and Wrigley is less than a block. Another option would be the Number 146 bus (Inner Drive Express) northbound on Michigan Ave, exit the bus at Addison and walk 4 blocks to Wrigley.

For complete info and maps, check www.transitchicago.com. You can also purchase visitor passes that allow unlimited rides on all trains and buses. Passes are $5 for 1-day, $9 for 2-days and $12 for 3-days.

You don't say how you'll be getting to Chicago, but if you're going to drive, I strongly recommend parking once and relying on public transit while you're in town. Unfortunately, the going rate for parking at downtown hotels is around $40 and I've heard it's creeping toward $45. The public garages around Millennium Park are about $20-$25 per day.

Even if you do have a car, do not attempt to drive to Wrigley Field on a game day. If you do, your son will have to get his GED because you won't get out of traffic until well after his HS graduation. :-\

Try the Ambassador East Hotel-they're running great specials in April.
