help for first time from NY to Lancaster PA

My best friend and will be visting her niece's family in September who just moved from nyc to lancaster. we are both in our 50's and have some minor health issues which certainly will not deter us from the joys of travel. we just try to take it easy on ourselves. normally, my friend's husband helps plan trips with all of us but this time we are on our own. however; i can't seem to find good sources for lancaster. I had thought about adding Hershey Park to the trip for a nice spa treatment but that might be too much for us. i did read a good thread on here about stopping along the way in Princeton which sounded nice. So, anything you might recommend to help me and my friend to get more information on the shops and crafts in Lancaster and/or the stops along the way from nyc to Lancaster or any websites would be great appreciated. thank you.

You might like The Kings Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Lancaster. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. It has a website you and your friend can check out.

you may want to look in under Pennsylvnia. There's a thread going on accommodations in Lancaster/Amish area.
Lots of shopping opportunities, including outlet shopping !!!!

bonnie, you can do a text search with the word lancaster and see what pops up.
