It was on the south end of the island and it was a 14 year old boy who required 33 stitches, but he's going to be okay.

Thanks for the heads up, I won't turn on the news for a few days when my kids are home. We're heading down that way in a few weeks and that's all they need to hear. I finally got them back in the ocean after hearing of all the attacks last year!

What time of day was it?

SO LAST YEAR ! Shark attacks were the in thing during the summer of '01. This summer it's all about child snatching.

I don't know what time of the day it was. I was told that it didn't even make the news on the island; that it was spread word of mouth. Guess they're used to these things.

Gee, last summer everyone at Fodor's was clamoring about how shark attacks would soon outnumber parking violations in the US.

"Oh, you people who go to the beach are the biggest fools on earth. We're all going to die at the mouths of sharks. The sky is falling....."

Whatever.

Some people just need things to be all jazzed up and sweaty about.
