HELP! Best budget accomodations in NYC?
Hi All,
I'm doing a very short stay in NYC in late September (2 nights). Will be solo.
Need a clean, safe budget accomodation. Will consider B&Bs also.
Saw a great $99 deal in Brooklyn, but it expires early September.
Also, I'm a AAA member if that helps...
Many thanks!

Well - it's very basic with a shared bath - almost a B&B. And it fits your budget only on weekdays - weekend rates are higher. If you do a search below I believe someone stayed there recently and had a problem with hot water (but I may have mistaken the hotel).
At that time of year for that budget you will problably have to share a bath - or stay in a hostel. There's one associated with hosteling international that gets good reviews - at 103rd near Amsterdam. I believe $40 per night for a bed in a dorm room with locker. But - you might check if they have a private room.

Thanks to you both.
nytraveler: I think you're right about the shared-bathroom thing.
Hmmm. Maybe I should look around some of the nicer parts of BROOKLYN as well. I don't mind staying in Brooklyn, and just taking the subway in when I need to.
Cheers!
