Healdsburg B & B's with two double beds in one room?
Hi,
After reading many many posts, we have decided to stay in Healdsburg for 2 nights from 5/4/08 to 5/6/08. This will be our base for wine country.
We really want to stay in a B&B but it seems like all the rooms have but one bed in the room
. I will be traveling with a coworker and we each want our own bed.
Can you recommend any that have maybe two double beds in a room?
I appreciate any suggestions you may have.
Thanks,
Linda

I doubt you'll find that in a B&B. Try a cottage or apartment. Downtown Healdsburg is GREAT! Spend a day on foot going to tasting rooms, shopping, eating, etc.

Thanks for the response. I checked those but they are a little to pricy for us. I really would like to stay under $250.00 if at all possible.
Any other suggestions?
If we stay at a hotel not within walking distance of the plaza, is parking a nightmare if we want to go there?

I just checked the Madrona Maor, a lovely B&B where we stayed last May. It is a 5 min drive outside of the town center of Healdsburg, and is a gorgeous place with unbelievably beautiful grounds and gardens. When we were there (May 8--11), the orange blossoms were in bloom and the entire place was perfumed w/their scent. For your dates, they are showing one room w/two queen beds as being available. My husband and I both thought it was a wonderful place to stay. Here is the site, if you care to investigate... http://www.madronamanor.com/reservation.htm
Re: the parking, we were in Healdsburg on a Sunday-Wednesday last May and had no problem parking in town. Occasionally we had to circle once or park on a side street, but no nightmares!

Linda, part of the whole experience there is personal service and pampering, I think. However, if budget is really a concern, then I wouldn't hesitate to mention the Best Western Dry Creek. Certainly no frills, but just fine for a place to stay and very convenient. Not a great walk to town...about a mile on pretty busy street with bad sidewalks (we walked it once) but easy to get to town, etc.

Hi,
I booked the room at the Madrona Manor and because I have AAA got it for $234.00
. I cannot wait to be there. Thank you all for your help. Now, I just need to book one night in Carmel or somewhere in that area.
