Maui would be my choice. Especially Kapalua, Napili, or Wailea.
The North Shore of Oahu is also very beautiful.

I recommend either Maui or Kauai for honeymooners - Maui if you are going between October and May and Kauai if you are going in the summer. We love Ho'oilo House on Maui. Also the Hotel Hana-Maui for a few nights is fabulous. On Kauai stay the cottages on Secret Beach. If you prefer a resort, I recommend the Princeville in summer, the Hyatt on the south side of the island in winter. Could also split the trip between the two islands, but I don't recommend it unless you are staying for more than 10 days.

All the islands are very unique and I find them to be quite different from one another. They all have their quiet spots on them, and they all have their busier spots, too (except maybe for Lanai.)

Look into Kauai, Big Island, North Shore of Oahu, Hana in Maui, or Lanai.

Which month? The weather varies. Knee jerk response would be Kauai. Maui is very busy, Lanai is overly quiet. Kauai is heaven on earth for honeymooners. Check out Internet sites on the Net and purchase some books to do your research, too.

I replied again but my post didn't appear. Since you're going in the summer, you ought to go to Kauai. We really enjoy the northshore and stay in Princeville. Reserve a hotel room, condo or house with an ocean view and view of Bali Hai. Bali Hai is magical and spiritual...kid you not. The memories of seeing it everyday will be everlasting. In addition, the island offers you so much recreation that you'll never be bored. It is also very peaceful and romantic. Best wishes.

If you've decided on Kaua'i and your tastes run towards condo/vacation rentals, try the following

www.kauaivacationrentals.com

www.aninialoha.com

www.balihai.com

www.napaliprop.com

I've used napali and would recommend them.
